More than a few Star Wars-inspired sneakers have been released over the years. Although the Nike Air VaporMax Plus Darth Maul wasn't officially endorsed by the iconic movie series, it did have clear ties to it.

This Nike Air VaporMax Plus drew inspiration from the Darth Maul character that was first introduced in 1999's 'Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.' It had a black and red upper that was designed to look just like Darth Maul due in large part to the sneaker's cage overlays. It also contained translucent Air Max bubbles on the bottom that gave the upper the room it needed to breathe.
